Bellissimo Brunello – Vic Wines with James Suckling

Two words: Bellissimo Brunello. Thirty Brunellos in one forum alongside their producers- tastings don’t get better than this.  The event which was hosted by James Suckling and Zachy’s was held at City Winery and not even the torrential rains kept the who’s who of NYC from attending.  Producers such as Giacomo Neri were out putting the spotlight on their choice 2006 Brunello picks.  Like a NYC street in the spring, the venue was packed and a bit chaotic, but that didn’t stop me and my team of Italian wine aficionados from tasting our way through all thirty Brunello’s.  Which ones were my favorites… stay tuned and you’ll find out soon when I release my Brunello top picks next week!

PS – I know this was a Suckling event…but funny enough a few of my “Vic Wines” fans were there too… It’s a new day when you hear someone shout to you from across the room, “hey I follow you on twitter!” Mamma, you hear that..your boy has officially entered the wine world.
